Southlake Police Issue Credit Card Abuse Alert

The Southlake Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with credit card abuse.

On Thursday, March 3, 2016 police officers met with a victim that stated her credit card had been used multiple times at the Tom Thumb store, located at 100 W. Southlake Boulevard, without her permission. The victim reported that she still had the credit card in her possession and that she had not given anyone permission to use it.

Southlake Police Officers worked with the store manager to obtain images from their video surveillance cameras. The images showed a black male using the victim’s credit card on February 29, 2016, March 1, 2016, and March 2, 2016.

The suspect is described as a black male, five foot-nine inches tall, approximately twenty-to-thirty years old, weighing 200 pounds. He also appears to be wearing a large gold colored watch on his left wrist.

The suspect purchased gift cards on all three occasions with the victim’s credit card. The suspect was in possession of a cloned credit card matching the credit card of the victim; however, a different name was listed on the cloned credit card.

If you recognize this individual, please contact Detective Chris Melton with the Southlake Criminal Investigation Division at (817) 748-8129 or cmelton@ci.southlake.tx.us.
