It’s a brand-new year full of brand-new world-class experiences at the Senior Activity Center!
Southlake Senior Activity Center members are in for a treat this month. Field trips are back, and the Senior Center staff have been busy planning exciting and educational excursions for January. We have two opportunities to visit Dallas museums together this month because we know our members are adamant life-long learners!
Dallas Museum of Art: Wednesday, January 19 from 10:00 AM- 3:30 PM
Senior Center staff invites members to join them for an afternoon of art appreciation. This downtown Dallas staple boasts a collection of more than 24,000 objects dating from the third millennium BC to the present day! We will also be attending the Van Gogh and the Olive Groves exhibit.
Registration for this outing is $15.00. Members must bring additional money for lunch. Register here.
Dallas Holocaust Museum: Friday, January 28 from 10:00 AM- 3:30 PM
The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum tells the story of the Holocaust, the emergence of international human rights following the war, and the development of human and civil rights in America. Join us as we explore this critical moment in human history.
All museum guests must wear face masks for the duration of their visit, and groups are asked to social distance at least six feet apart from anyone not in their group while inside.
Registration for this outing is $14.00. Members must bring additional money for lunch at Corner Bakery. Register here.
We hope you will join us on one or both of these trips. We are excited to bring back field trips as we continue creating life-long memories for our members. A huge thank you to The Southlake Senior Funding, Inc. for partially funding these excursions.
Look out for more outings in the coming months!
