Save Your Drains with the 2022 Holiday Grease Roundup!

Southlake’s Annual Holiday Grease Roundup is right around the corner. Learn more about how you can make a difference, protect your pipes, and receive a free swag bag.

Join the City of Southlake Public Works in their 4th annual Holiday Grease Roundup. Residents will have the opportunity to come and donate their used cooking oil and grease at the Public Works Operations Center located at 1950 East Continental Boulevard for the chance to pick up a free swag bag during business hours. A designated collection station will be available 24/7 from November 14th until January 9th, where donations can be dropped off. Motor oil will not be accepted.

When fats, oils, and grease (commonly referred to as ‘FOG’) are washed down the drain, they have the potential to create significant blockages that can lead to overflows occurring in your home and even on your streets. These overflows can be extremely costly to both you and the community, while also causing harm to our environment. If you have leftover grease and oil from cooking this holiday season, be sure to recycle it during our Holiday Grease Roundup! Check out this video for instructions on how to best collect your grease and oil and get it ready for recycling. Free collection containers will be available for pick-up at the collection station, as well.

Residents who choose to participate will be available to pick up a free swag filled with Southlake goodies and an assortment of tools to help you keep your kitchen FOG-free! Only one swag bag will be given per household, regardless of the donation amount or quantity of donation.
