The weekend of Jan. 12-13, the Carroll Varsity and Carroll JV cheer teams competed in the NCA High School Nationals. The competition was held at the Dallas Convention Center. The Dragons pursued award trophies along with teams from around the nation.
The National Championship awarded trophies in both Performance Divisions and Game Time Divisions. Performance Divisions categorize teams by school level, skill level, number of athletes, and All-Girl or Coed designation. Game Time Divisions award trophies in Sideline Cheerleading, Fight Song, and Time-Out Dance and are categorized by school level.
Judges awarded the Carroll Varsity team third place after competing in the Advanced, Medium, High School Division.
JV competed in the Advanced JV division and took 2nd place. JV was also given an award for “Best Use of Tumbling”. Congratulations to both teams for an excellent performance.
