The Carroll Dragon tennis team hosted its first “Grill Out” match and produced a 19-0 victory against Northwest. The Dragons’ No. 1 boys double team of Collin Alexanders and Jack Learmonth posted the first victory of the day winning 8–0. Matt and Elise Landers swept the Mixed Doubles 8-0. Carroll improved to 4-0 in District 4-5A play and travel to Keller Central next Tuesday. The “Grill Out” included all fans at the match receiving free hot dogs and cupcakes.
The Carroll Dragon team tennis dominated Fossil Ridge with a 19-0 victory in district action. The doubles teams of Meredith Hope/Lauren Ryniak, Eshan Dave/Jack Learmonth and Connor McDaniel/Todd Danner swept their respective opponents. The Dragons’ No. 2 singles player Collin Alexander also won 6-0,6-0. Carroll hosts Northwest next Tuesday at 4 p.m. for the first “Grill Out” match. Free hot dogs will be served at the match.
