The week of November 12-16, the Carroll Middle School Student Council hosted the annual Stuff The Bus campaign. In one week, CMS students and parents collected 2, 790 items for the Roanoke Food Pantry.
Teachers and students donated can food items to the person they would most like to see wear an over-sized novelty “shark suit” for a day. At the end of the week, Principal Matt Miller received the most donations with over 1,000 items. He wore the suit on Friday, Nov. 16.
CMS Student council members delivered all donations to the pantry, which was very low on food after sending out donations to victims of Hurricane Sandy.
