Great Gatsby Production Comes To CSHS

GatsbyPoster ImageThe award-winning Carroll Theatre Department is producing a play based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book, “The Great Gatsby”.  Simon Levy’s adaptation will be performed by varsity theatre students on October 3 and 4, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the Carroll Senior High School Auditorium.

‘The Great Gatsby’ tells the story of triumph and tragedy plaguing American society during the 1920s. Scenes include dancers performing classic dance moves from the 1920s Jazz Era. The Technical Theatre students are excited to be designing and building elaborate set pieces, including the iconic yellow car. Most students are thrilled to produce a show based on a book they have previously studied in English III. Mature Audiences, please.

A second production is in the works for later this fall. CSHS students and staff will present “Tarzan: The Stage Musical”. Opening night will be Thursday, Nov. 6.
