The Carroll Lady Dragons have moved to No.1 in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
The Lady Dragons are 6-0 and are coming off finishing 3-0 in the Georgetown tournament last week. This week, the Lady Dragons defeated one of the top teams – Keller – 3-1 on Tuesday at Dragon Stadium. Alli Gardner, Kendall Gilpin and Ally Griffin each scored goals. Brittany Martin and Sydney Nobles each had an assist.
Carroll has allowed just three goals this season. The Lady Dragons return to action Tuesday at Hebron to start District 5-6A action.

Glamour Girls (Ages 6-12): Spend a week creating your own beauty products! You will learn to make your own lip balm, nail polish, fancy soap, bath bombs and more. Students will create their own specialized shades and scents, even adding glitter. Students will also learn three creative nail polish techniques
Pre-Engineering: Minecraft, Build Using Lego (Ages 5-7): Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer-designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a portal to the Nether, and a moving Minecraft! Create your favorite Minecraft objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Whether you are new to Miinecraft and LEGO or a seasoned veteran, you’ll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities.
Engineering Funamentals: Minecraft, Build Using Lego (Ages 8-12): Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Build a motorized walking Creeper, a terrifying Ghast, and a motorized Minecraft! This project-based camp, designed by Play-Well instructors, combines the basic format of our core engineering-themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO.
Jedi Engineering With Lego (Ages 5-7): Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining LEGO® X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and defense turrets.
Jedi Master Engineering With Lego (Ages 8-12): The Force Awakens in this advanced engineering course for young Jedi! Discover key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics, and eccentric motion. Build LEGO XWings, AT-AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, Settlements, Fortresses, and other complex machines and structures from a galaxy far, far away.
Stop and Go Animation (Ages 7-14): Focused around the popular LEGO piece sets and characters, students are shown the proper way to capture their still images and how to maintain organization to make the film editing easy and straightforward. At the end of the course, students will have a master edit uploaded to our Youtube channel to share with friends and family.
Minecraft Architects (Ages 8-14): Minecraft Architects presents students with different construction challenges and students must plan, design, and construct buildings meeting specific guidelines. Through experimenting and working together, students will develop skills in creative thinking, math, geometry and team building.
Animation (Ages 10-17): In this class students will learn the basics of animation and digital design. Students who enjoy going to various sites to see fun interactive animations will love this course. This class will utilize Adobe’s award winning animation software in Adobe Flash. Students will create fun interactive animations that they can share with the world.
Video Game Design (Ages 10-17): This course provides students with a fun, interactive look at the world of video game design and development. Students enrolled in this camp will learn the basics of video game design and produce several different interactive video games to share with their friends and family.
iVideo Game Design (Ages 6-10):Want to create video games? This is an introductory course for younger students who want to learn to build simple video games. This course combines the art of video game design and animation to create interactive characters that fly around the screen. Amaze your friends and family with your fun interactive games.
Beginner Guitar Lessons (Ages 7+): Learn to play the guitar from a professional guitar instructor at your own pace. This class will teach you the basic chords hand positions, picking, and much more. Students will be given an opportunity to perform at the quarterly local concert events. Participants must bring their own guitar.

The City of Southlake’s Community Services Department offers young girls the opportunity to play in a recreational league that provides them with the opportunity to improve their volleyball skills in a fun environment.
Students will learn to ace, spike, pass, block, and attack all while making new friends. All teams will play an eight game season and players will play on a rotation to ensure all players receive equal play time. This program is for girls ages 6 – 12 years old. Summer youth basketball registration is now being accepted for girls ages 8-12 and boys ages 8-16.
Players can register in one of two forms; as part of a team that is already formed and will compete against other formed teams in a more competitive recreational league or as an individual player who wishes to be drafted to a team from a pool of players.
The fee per team is $435 and the fee per individual is $65. Practices being the week June 8th with league games starting on Saturday June 13, 2015. Southlake’s Girls Youth Volleyball Program is perfect for young players who want to learn the game. Three age divisions are offered for players; 8 & under, 10 & under and 12 & under players (the age cutoff is September 1, 2015).
Individuals will be placed on teams and paired with volunteer coaches; please be sure to indicate if you are interested in coaching when you register your child. All teams will advance to the playoffs after the regular season.
Games will be held on Saturdays in a Carroll I.S.D. facility and practices will be during the week for one hour. All teams will be provided jerseys and balls will be provided at practices.
Registration deadline is Friday, May 22, 2015 by 5:00 OM and the fee is $60 per player. Practices will begin the week of June 8th, and games will start on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Creators of the local service organization Scholars and Athletes Serving Others (SASO) are holding a membership drive for the Girls Group. The 200-plus member mother-son group is now branching its membership to include mothers and daughters. SASO is looking for young women from different interests to come together with the mentoring of their mothers to accomplish great things for the Southlake and surrounding communities.
SASO, pronounced “say so”, released applications for membership on Tuesday (10/15) afternoon and applications will close on October 31, 2013.

The City of Southlake invites all boys and girls, ages 6-15, to come out and show off their skills at the annual Punt, Pass and Kick (PP&K) Competition on Saturday, September 28th. The Competition will be held at North Park, located at 200 E. Dove Rd, from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is not required.Every year, more than 3.5 million participants nationwide compete in the NFL PP&K Program.
Boys and girls get the opportunity to compete against their peers in punting, passing and kicking contests (based on distance accuracy) in local, sectional, NFL Team Championship and National Championship levels. Five age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15) are eligible to compete. Participants must show proof of age with a birth certificate. Age is determined as of December 31, 2013.
All local competition champions, in each age and gender division, will advance to one of eleven sectional competitions held in October. The top four champions in each sectional competition will advance to the Team Championship held at a Dallas Cowboys game. Participants who place in the top four at the Cowboys game will get the opportunity to move ahead to the National Championship held at an NFL Playoff game in January.
