Dragon Band Gives Best Team Performance

This past Saturday the Carroll Dragon Band competed against 26  other marching bands from the North Texas area.

Despite performing in windy, slippery conditions, the Dragon Band performed at a very high level, received excellent comments from the 7 judges, and advanced to the Finals round later that evening following a rain delay, to compete as one of the top 10 groups of the day.

In Finals the Dragon Band increased its scores in multiple categories and finished in fourth place overall and third place in their large band class rank. This is the highest finish for the Dragon Band at the Golden Triangle Classic in four years.

The Dragon Band will perform at U.I.L. at Standridge Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. in Carrollton and then compete in the Duncanville Marching Invitational against some of the best marching bands in the state of Texas the following weekend on Saturday, Oct. 26.
