Champions Club Grand Opening Delayed Due to September Rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall Southlake experienced in September, Champions Club will not open as planned in December. We are working diligently to make up as much time as we can and currently anticipate opening in February.

Important Information

  • If you have already purchased your membership, your account will not be charged again until April 1, 2019 or 30 days after the facility opens to the public, whichever date is greater.
  • Sneak peek tours will still be available to our pre-sale members. We’ll be posting the information as soon as we set our dates. It’s not too late to purchase a pre-sale membership! Visit our membership page for all the details.

Bicentennial Park & Playground Grand Opening scheduled for September 12, 2015

Bicentennial Park & PlaygroundThe City of Southlake is excited to announce that the Grand Opening of Bicentennial Park & Playground will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 9:00 AM.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join Southlake Mayor, Laura Hill as the City opens the new  playground at Bicentennial Park! Attendees can enjoy all the features of the new playground which include zip lines, slides, a rope pyramid, sand castle building, water play and more! Plus, Kona Ice will be at the event offering snow cones from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM!

SinMiracle League Fieldce December 2013, the City has been working with Schrickel, Rollins & Associates, Inc. and Dean Construction to give the Southlake community a state-of-the-art park for kids of all ages to enjoy. Improvements to the park include a new playground, a Texas Rangers Miracle League Field, a 60/90 baseball field, new concession/restroom facilities, enhancements to the original baseball 4-plex, a new Park Division Office, and new trails.

OneBicentennial Park of the most unique features of Bicentennial Park is the new playground! At approximately 1.3 acres, it will offer an abundance of natural play opportunities for kids of all ages. It features two play areas — one designed specifically for toddlers and the other for older children. The playground will also include three pavilions and a large open picnic space.

Park goers will notice a mommy dragon and baby dragon around the outskirts of the playground that house natural play elements for children to climb and explore on.  The City welcomes everyone to come out to the Grand Opening on September 12, and the park and playground will resume normal play hours (Sunday – Monday from 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM) after that date.

The City of Southlake Senior Activity Center Visits "The Night the Music Died" at Uptown Theatre in Grand Prairie on July 25th

uptownlogoJoin the City of Southlake Senior Activity Center as they witness The Night the Music Died at Uptown Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas on Friday, July 25, 2014.

The Night the Music Died depicts the last concert of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper which occurred back in February 1959. The Texas Family Musicals recreates that fateful evening with the same magic and excitement.

The Southlake Senior Activity Center bus will depart from the Senior Center on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. and will return at 10:00 p.m.  Please note that the arrival and return times are subject to change.

The transportation cost for this event is $3.00 and tickets range from $26.00-$33.00.  Please bring money for all other costs (concessions, souvenirs, etc.).
