Mr. Hamons comes to Southlake from Columbus, Ohio. He was most recently with Pizzuti Companies, a real estate developer in Ohio. In his role as Vice President, Mr. Hamons was responsible for managing Pizzuti Solutions team’s consulting and development efforts, including the planning and management of the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, the Columbus Metropolitan Library Northside Mixed-Use Facility and the Columbus Crew MLS Soccer Training Facility.
Mr. Hamons also has extensive public sector experience and has served as Economic Development Director for the Cities of Grove City, Upper Arlington and Westerville, Ohio. During his tenure, he managed economic development programs that helped create more than 7,000 new jobs, retained 2,500 more and saw more than $300million dollars invested into the communities.
“Shannon has a great blend of experience,” said Assistant City Manager Alison Ortowski. “His understanding of the private and public sectors and how they work together to create and sustain highly livable communities will serve Southlake well. We are looking forward to utilizing his expertise in our current and future economic development initiatives.”
Mr. Hamons started with the City June 2nd.
