Eubanks Intermediate School will soon begin the process of hiring a new principal for the 2017-2018 school year.
Deana Steeber was approved Monday, June 12 as the new Argyle ISD Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Steeber served the Eubanks Intermediate campus since 2013.
Carroll ISD’s process of hiring a new principal will include creating an interview and screening committee comprised of central office administrators, campus teachers and EIS parents.
Assistant Principal Mary Stockton lead the campus until a replacement has been hired. An interview and screening committee will be formed and comprised of a balance between central office administrators, campus teachers and EIS parents.
The Carroll ISD School Board approved the hiring of Janet McDade as the new Assistant Superintendent for Student Services during Monday night’s meeting.
McDade, who is expected to start Friday, has 20 years of experience in education and previously served as the Garland ISD Executive Director of School Transformation since 2014.
In this role, she provided support to the Superintendent, Executive Council members, 71 campus administrators, the Board of Trustees and supervised five major education and counseling departments across the district.
McDade has experience as a former principal and assistant principal in Mansfield ISD. She was the principal of the Ben Barber Career Tech Academy and Tarver-Rendon Elementary in Mansfield.
She has a Master’s degree from TCU and undergraduate degree from Angelo State. She is currently working toward her doctorate at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Before arriving in Mansfield, McDade taught in Bastrop ISD and Birdville ISD. She replaces JJ Villarreal, who became the new Superintendent of Rockwall ISD.
McDade is the wife of Carroll boys basketball coach Eric McDade. The couple have two children in the Carroll ISD.
With spring starting and summer just a few months away, the Southlake Community Services Department is now hiring part-time staff. Spring and summer are the busiest times of year for our department with camps, programs, and activities taking place every day across our facilities.
Positions offered include Recreation Leader (for Summer Programs & Summer Camps) and Recreation Specialist.
Recreation Leaders assist with recreation programs and activities while Recreation Specialists supervise those programs and activities.
