Three Southlake Restaurants Participating in DFW Restaurant Week

dfw-restaurant-week-640x4801Foodies across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex rejoiced August 11 as the 17th Annual DFW Restaurant Week officially kicked-off. A unique opportunity for diners to enjoy three or four-course meals at more than 130 restaurants in Tarrant, Dallas and Colin Counties, the event is also a fundraiser with a portion of each fixed price meal purchased going to either the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas or the Lena Pope Home in Fort Worth. Close to home, three Southlake restaurants are participating in DFW Restaurant Week and have created special menus for the occasion.

An upscale dining staple of Southlake Town Square, Truluck’s offers fresh-catch seafood, juicy steaks and hand-selected wines. The restaurant boasts numerous awards from Zagat, Fort Worth Magazine, and Southlake Style. Truluck’s is offering three course meals for $45 per person through Sunday, August 17. Guests may enjoy their choice of salad, followed by a main course and dessert. Optional enhancements are available for an additional fee, including fresh crab claws, jumbo lump crab cakes, and salt and pepper calamari. Wine suggestions are offered for each course. Let the thought of sipping a citrusy Napa chardonnay while enjoying an almond-crusted trout in a rich lemon-caper butter sauce whet your appetite.

Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse in Southlake is a sister restaurant to the historic Dallas location and offers the same top-quality aged beef, fresh seafood and fabulous desserts. In addition to being rated as the #1 Traditional American Restaurant in DFW by Zagat, the restaurant also offers a trendy atmosphere, boasting a jazz lounge that features live music on the weekends. Diners may enjoy their choice of appetizers, entrées and desserts for $35.00 per person through Kirby’s extended date, August 31. Guests may begin their meal with the optional first course of grilled fresh water prawns, or jump straight into beef tenderloin spring rolls, grilled Angus New York strip, and a dark chocolate orange tart, to name a few delicious choices.

Known for offering customers southern Italian cuisine, il Calabrese Restaurant and Bar (formerly Patrizio’s Osteria) in Southlake is now under new ownership and has a new name,. Restaurant owner, Oscar Renda, purchased all of the interest of the former majority owner and partner, and the restaurant no longer has ties to the four other Patrizio’s locations. Although the name may have changed, guests may still expect to dine in a chic setting and will only notice minor changes to the menu. If there is a dish from the old menu that you would like to order, Chef Luciano Salvadore will do his best to accommodate any requests. A few items on the special four-course DFW Restaurant Week menu include calamari fritti, mozzarella, orecchiette alla calabrese, and limoncello tiramisu.

Make dinner plans tonight to enjoy some of our community’s finest dining while also supporting worthy causes. DFW Restaurant Week only offers the opportunity once a year!
