Southlake Tennis Center Takes it Indoors

Residents will soon be able to play a game of tennis indoors at the Southlake Tennis Center.  Currently, two tennis courts are undergoing renovations and upgrades, the courts will be converted from an outdoor space to an enclosed and climate- controlled environment.

After breaking ground in December of 2018, this project has been steadily moving forward and on schedule. The newly constructed facility will have fans and HVAC, so players will be able to enjoy a game of tennis year- round avoiding the Texas heat, chilly winters and of course, rain.

“Incorporating an indoor court at the Tennis Center will enhance the player experience, despite the weather,”  said Director of Community Services, Chris Tribble.

With Champions Club opening in just a few days and the addition of the indoor tennis courts, Bicentennial Park continues to be a top destination for recreation, fun and leisure activities in Southlake.

These improvements are a part of the adopted Southlake 2030 Parks, Recreation and Open Space/ Community Facilities Master Plan. The newly enclosed facility will contribute to the ongoing effort to update and enhance the signature park.

The indoor court’s facility is on schedule to be completed in June of 2019, weather permitting.
