Apex Arts League keeps it jazzy! The 14th Annual Jazz Festival returns on Saturday, February 25, at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Carroll Senior High School Auditorium.
The seven-time Grammy-nominated jazz ensemble, the One O’clock Lab Band from the University of North Texas, is set to perform under the direction of Alan Baylock.
Three high school jazz bands are opening the show: Carroll High School, Colleyville Heritage High School, and Birdville High School.
They will perform commissioned pieces composed by students at UNT.

The APEX Arts League will present to the Northeast Tarrant County community The One O’Clock Lab Band in concert on Saturday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m., at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 185 South White’s Chapel Boulevard, Southlake.

The One O’Clock, under the direction of Jay Saunders, is the premier performing jazz ensemble from the internationally acclaimed University of North Texas’ Jazz Studies Program. The One O’Clock is a seven time Grammy- nominated ensemble and has produced a multitude of great composers, performers and educators over the years, recording more than 60 albums in its tenure.
Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and Apex members.
