Northbound lanes of N. Kimball Avenue will be paved beginning today, July 2, 2014. The paving is part of the ongoing N. Kimball Avenue Widening Project.
Motorists should expect rolling lane closures as work crews move from south of Patterson Way north to E. Highland Street. The lane closures will be limited from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily and both lanes will be open during the evenings and night time.
Flagmen will be posted at all times during the lane closures, so please exercise caution if traveling through the work zone.

UPDATE 6/25/2014: TxDOT installation of flashing yellow arrow (FYA) traffic signals on Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) will begin this week, possibly as early as Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
The installation of the flashing yellow arrow signals will begin on the east side of Southlake Blvd and move westward towards Keller. TxDOT contractors will be upgrading two to three intersections along Southlake Boulevard per day until the project is complete.
Commuters should expect slow moving traffic on Southlake Boulevard. Installation of these new traffic lights is expected to last two weeks.
Once the traffic signals are operational, there are some important changes to be aware of:
There is one exception:
The installation of the new flashing yellow left-turn arrows traffic signals will improve safety and mobility along Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709). In fact, a Federal Highway Administration study demonstrated that flashing yellow left-turn arrow traffic signals help prevent crashes, move more traffic through intersections, and provide additional traffic management flexibility.
