The Legends Hall team cordially invites the Southlake community to join the Senior Activity Center members in a night to remember on December 2, 2021. A crowd-favorite tradition, the Legends Hall Dance is the perfect opportunity for Southlake residents 21 and over to mix and mingle with our 55 and better community!

No one loves a celebration more than the team at Legends Hall, and this event is no exception! Hosted in the gorgeous Traditions Ballroom, participants are sure to have a jolly old time! Don your best attire and get ready for a night of music and joy, with entertainment provided by our very own Southlake Swing Band!

Legends Hall strives to be the premier destination to celebrate life’s most memorable moments. We love providing our community with the opportunity to commemorate the holidays and interact with our Senior Center members. The Legends Hall Dance is the perfect opportunity to come together in the spirit of the holidays.

Fall in Love at Legends Hall Third Annual Open House on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 PM at 285 Shady Oaks Drive, Southlake. Admission is Free. This event is perfect for eager brides, event planners, or individuals hoping to host fun social events. The Luck of the Irish was in Southlake yesterday as the Senior Activity Center celebrated another successful drive-through luncheon.

Everyone was greening from ear to ear as the Saint Patrick’s Day Luncheon began. Senior Activity staff and Southlake Sister Cities volunteers passed out tulips, Irish-themed goody bags, and a traditional Irish meal to Southlake seniors. The menu consisted of a delicious Shepherd’s Pie from Scratch Kitchen Catering.

Decked out in green, the Legends Hall parking lot was feeling the Irish spirit. Irish jigs played, lucky shamrocks were creatively placed, and volunteers waved celebratory signs as Seniors rolled up to collect their food. The sun was shining and the birds were singing, making it the perfect afternoon to celebrate this global pre-Spring tradition. There was even a leprechaun sighting! A huge thank you and shout out to the Southlake Sister Cities volunteers that helped make this event festive and fun.

Over the last year, the Southlake Senior Activity Center has perfected the art of the curbside luncheon. Forced to be creative due to Covid-19, Senior Center staff are determined to continue spreading cheer to the Southlake Senior community. Whether it's conducting wellness calls, hosting weekly drive-through luncheons, to celebrating fun holidays, the Senior Center aims to offer world-class experiences to all Southlake Seniors.

The City of Southlake celebrated Employee Appreciation Week last month and Community Services employee, Crystal Maddalena, was the recipient of the Accountability Award.

Serving as the Banquet Specialist for Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake, Crystal is committed to excellence in every event she coordinates and ensures each client has the best experience. During COVID-19, Crystal stepped up to ensure the day-to-day operations of Legends Hall were complete and that no event suffered, even with a smaller staff than usual.

Embodying accountability and a passion for customer service, Crystal worked every weekend in October to guarantee that weddings rescheduled from the summer due to the pandemic could go on without a hitch. She wanted to ensure her clients could find peace-of-mind and not be nervous during their big day with everything else they had on their plate.

Thanks to her unwavering efforts, Crystal received numerous positive reviews on NPS surveys and Wedding Wire. One Legends Hall bride stated that "Crystal was quick to respond to any questions we had ahead of time and very accommodating to meeting requests. They set everything up for us and even helped us find our amazing caterer! It’s a great value and a beautiful setting."

Apart from her world-class customer service, Crystal understands the importance of fiscal responsibility and ensuring that overall cost recovery is met. Going above and beyond, she sacrificed nights and weekends to work events that would normally be covered by hourly employees. When things do not go as planned, she manages expectations and prepares clients with no-extra-cost alternatives without missing a beat.

Crystal’s execution, attention to detail, and kindness to clients is evident at every event she coordinates. She is an asset to the team and is a vast reason why Legends Hall has so many returning clients and referrals.

The new year was off to a fantastic start as The Marq at Southlake received three nominations for the Southlake Style Readers’ Choice 2021 awards.

Champions Club at The Marq is competing for best Full-Service Gym as well as best Kid’s Birthday Party Venue. On the other side of The Marq, Legends Hall was nominated for best Event/ Wedding Venue, solidifying its place as a premier wedding destination in North Texas.

Residents nominated businesses in over 100 categories on Southlake Style’s website. Nominations were open from January 11 to January 31. The top five nominees moved on to the voting round which began on February 4 and ended on February 18. The winners will be revealed in the Southlake Style April print issue and online.

The Marq is honored to be nominated in so many categories by its members and the Southlake community.
