UPDATE 3/10/16 – Due to weather, the work and road closure at 475 Pine Drive has been pushed back to Friday, March 11, 2016.
Beginning at 9:00am, Thursday March 10, 2016, a portion of Lilac Lane, along the northern property line of 475 Pine Drive, will be closed to allow for franchise utility work.
Message boards will be placed in the neighborhoods around Lilac Lane and Dominion Drive indicating a detour for residents to Byron Nelson Parkway, as access westward to Pine Drive will be restricted.
Message boards will also be placed on Pine Drive for residents in the White Chapel Court neighborhood indicating access to eastbound Lilac Lane will be restricted. Instead, motorists will be directed north along Pine Drive to access South White Chapel Boulevard.
The road closure and work is expected to last all day. However, the likelihood of inclement weather may delay the start of the work by a day. Should that happen, an update will be set out with a new start day and time.

The Public Works Department finished re-construction on Lilac Lane from Byron Nelson to Pine Street. The re-construction, which began February 2013, addressed two issues.

The re-construction was successfully com
pleted March 2013 and the traffic congestion caused by the re-construction has eased.
The Public Works Department strives to maintain the City’s roadways, a top concern of residents in the 2011 Citizens Survey. The construction to improve Lilac Lane represents a continued commitment to that goal as well as to the citizens of Southlake.

On February 25, 2013 the City of Southlake Public Works staff will be re-constructing Lilac lane from Pine Street east to Byron Nelson Parkway with anticipated completion on March 22, 2013 (weather permitting).
Due to recent sewer failure, the road has begun to dip. The re-construction will fix this issue as well as ease traffic congestion, a top concern of residents in the 2011 Citizen Survey.
Lilac Lane will remain open to local and through traffic during the designated construction hours of 8am to 4pm although traffic delays should be anticipated. Seek alternative routes when possible. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Public Works Supervisor Joe Walsh at 817-748-8604.
