We have put a lot of time in this project and I can easily say I am so excited to be launching something like this in my own hometown. I really think students and parents alike will love Southlake Sports Magazine.  We will be covering every sport”  said Hagy.

Digital Magazine Features Southlake Talent in All Sports

SSM_screenshotMitch Hagy of Fotosport is launching a first for Southlake. Beginning mid-January, Southlake will have its own digital, interactive sports magazine for the iPad featuring high school, middle school and youth league athletes from all types of sports. Known for its creative photography and graphic design work, Fotosport will introduce Southlake Sports Magazine as a free download via the Apple App Store in mid-January.

As one of the premier sports meccas in the nation, Southlake takes pride in its continued success. This success is carried throughout each sports team, both big and small, offered at Carroll schools.

“I had heard about the success of Carroll Dragons and how tight the community is. It wasn’t until I moved my family to Southlake two years ago that I have witnessed it first hand. It is because of this I wanted to launch Southlake Sports Magazine,” said Fotosport founder and editor Mitch Hagy.

“What an awesome community to cover every sport. For a sports magazine like SSM you not only have the big three sports, but also the teams like Cross Country, Swimming, Wrestling, Tennis, Lacrosse, Hockey, Skeet Shooting etc., teams that have such fine athletes and coaches and are so successful, but rarely get the attention they deserve. You also have incredible support groups like band, cheer, belles, crew, managers and trainers that work so hard and keep it all together. My team and I have created SSM to showcase all of Southlake’s athletes and talented support groups within a medium that is new, hip, able to interact with and use everyday, digital!”
