On Saturday, March 23, 2019, the City of Southlake invites you to celebrate Southlake!

The event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. with a Community Dinner on the terrace of The Marq Southlake. It will be a special opportunity to get to get to know your neighbors while breaking bread together. A variety of local cultural cuisines will be available for purchase and there will be plenty of community seating. You may also bring blankets and chairs as lawn seating will be available.

Following the dinner, continue to celebrate Southlake from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. through cultural performances and activities. The Community Dinner and Celebrate Southlake activities all take place at the Legends Hall at the Marq promenade and Aria Amphitheater located at 285 Shady Oaks Drive.

Champions Club Grand Opening Delayed Due to September Rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall Southlake experienced in September, Champions Club will not open as planned in December. We are working diligently to make up as much time as we can and currently anticipate opening in February.

  • If you have already purchased your membership, your account will not be charged again until April 1, 2019 or 30 days after the facility opens to the public, whichever date is greater.

Free Masterworks Concerts Coming to Southlake in May

Join the City of Southlake and Arts Council Northeast as we present the Southlake Community Band for a Disney inspired concert as well as a Memorial Day Weekend country concert featuring Derek Anthony.

The Southlake Community Band will perform Saturday, May 13 from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at The Marq Southlake’s outdoor amphitheater – Aria, featuring Disney musical selections fit for the entire family.  Bring your family and friends out for a night of iconic songs from the Lion King, Frozen, Fantasia, Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast and other melodies from Disney favorites. Be sure to pack a blanket or lawn chair and bug spray. Coolers and snacks welcome, alcohol is not permitted.

The Southlake Community Band, directed by Mr. David Stone, is a concert band of more than seventy talented adult amateur musicians who enjoy playing music just for fun. The band performs regularly in the North Texas cities of Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, Colleyville and surrounding communities. Staying in town Memorial Day weekend?  What better way to enjoy the weekend than with a country concert featuring local icon Derek Anthony on Saturday, May 27 from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Rustin Pavilion in Southlake Town Square.  Be sure to pack a blanket or lawn chair and bug spray. Coolers and snacks welcome, alcohol is not permitted.

Derek can best be described as a contemporary country style with some traditional taste of country music embedded into his sound and feel. Derek’s live performances are high energy with extensive crowd interaction. His band “The D-Train Band” is one of the strongest bands in the country genre – a must see. Derek is eager to broaden his musical career into the mass market appeal and produce memorable music that embraces emotion, fun, and touches the hearts of millions of fans. Derek’s style ranges from country rock to a strong traditional ballad with a full range of vocals. He is a regular at the world famous Billy Bob’s and has opened up for Pat Green, Josh Turner, Kansas, Sara Evans, Aaron Watson, Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black, Jo Dee Messina, The Cadillac Three, Colt Ford, and many others. Senior Activity Center Hosts August Senior Dance

Calling all seniors (55+)! Dance your way to the monthly Senior Dance on August 18th hosted by The Southlake Senior Activity Center.

Tommy Chandler will be providing the music for the night’s festivities and with a set list including tunes of the Ballroom, Western, Line-dance, and Latin variety, there is something for everyone to show off their moves to.

Cost for the evening is $6.00, and a dance host is available for unescorted ladies. Light refreshments will be provided and business casual attire is requested (no shorts please).

Super Hero Ice Cream Social at the Senior Center

If you enjoy ice cream and Super Heroes, you’re in luck! The Southlake Senior Activity Center will be hosting a Super Hero Ice cream social for it’s members (55+) this coming Tuesday the 26th!

The event will include a full Ice Cream Sundae bar, with all the necessary items to make a Super Sundae, but the fun does not stop there! Various Super Hero games and activities will be set up as well, such as Thor’s Hammer Toss, and a mock phone booth, in case you need to change into your super hero costume in a flash!

The Super Hero Ice Cream Social will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Registration is $2
Wearing your Super Hero costume is encouraged but not necessary.

The Southlake Senior Activity Center is hosting it’s monthly Senior dance (55+) on the 21st of July and you’re invited!

This month’s musical guests will be Pete and Patti, performing a collection of songs spanning the classic country, oldies, blues, and big band genres.

Cost for the evening is $6.00, and a dance host is available for unescorted ladies. Light refreshments will be provided and business casual attire is requested (no shorts please).

Party Machine to play MasterWorks

The Arts Council Northeast and the City of Southlake are pleased to present Party Machine as part of the 2016 MasterWorks Summer Concert Series.

Party Machine, created by Deno Taglioli, band leader of Emerald City, provides a high energy, interactive performance covering a variety of tunes ranging from the 1950’s all the way through today’s chart toppers. Party Machine takes the stage July 23rd at The Aria Amphitheater located at The Marq here in Southlake.

Make sure to bring a chair or blanket and come ready for some great music and good times.
There will also be food trucks at all outdoor performances.

Southlake Kicks Off Summer

It’s time for Southlake to kick off its summer fun for families by hosting the Southlake Summer Kickoff event.

On June 4, 2016, join the Southlake Library, Recreation, The Marq and more to celebrate summer with the Minions, the Space Rockers, Blackland Prairie Raptors, and J. Tiger Martial Arts. This free event is held in Family Park in front of Southlake Town Hall from 10 AM – 1 PM.

Activities include exploring DPS vehicles, games, crafts, inflatables, airbrush face painting, balloon artists and so much more. Free frozen treats from Rita’s while they last.

Summer Kickoff map resizedIn addition, this year the City of Southlake Planning & Development Services Department joins in the fun to celebrate the International Code Council’s Building Safety Month. The Planning & Development Services Department will be hosting Building Safety Day at the event.

Building Safety Day is an international celebration of safe, sustainable structures and a public awareness campaign to help children and families learn backyard and swimming pool safety. Our themes this year are “Building Solutions for All Ages,” “The Science Behind the Codes,” “Learn from the Past, Build for Tomorrow,” and “Building Codes.” Building Inspectors and Code Enforcement Officers will be available to answer questions and provide free activity books, inspector badges and swimming pool safety materials.
