The new Carroll Middle School opened at the start of the 2011-2012 school year.
Carroll Middle School has received a distinguished award by the United Masonry Contractors Association. CMS won the First Place Golden Trowel Award for Exterior Design and Block work. CMS opened at the start of the 2011-2012 school year in Carroll ISD and was designed by the Natex Corporation Architects. The mason contractor for CMS was J&E Masonry. Bartett Cocke was the general contractor for the school, located at 1800 East Kirkwood.
