2014 City Council Candidate Filing Starts January 29

The Southlake City Secretary’s Office is now receiving applications for a place on the May 10, 2014 City Election ballot for City Council Places 1 and 6.   Applications will be received during the business week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The last day to file for a place on the 2014 election ballot is February 28, 2014. Please see elections, candidate information and important dates on the City’s website (www.CityofSouthlake.com) for additional information.

Early voting begins April 28, 2014 and concludes on May 6, 2014. The City of Southlake is situated in two counties–Denton and Tarrant. Southlake residents may vote at any early voting location in the county in which they reside: Southlake Town Hall, 1400 Main Street, is an early voting location for Tarrant County residents; Trophy Club MUD – Svore Municipal Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club is an early voting location for Denton County residents. Please check the City’s voting information page frequently as locations are subject to change.

On Saturday, May 10, 2014, qualified registered voters of the City of Southlake will cast their ballot for the purpose of electing city council members and school board trustees for the following districts: Carroll ISD, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller ISD, and Northwest ISD.

Southlake voters must go to their county precinct polling location on Election Day. The City of Southlake is situated in two counties–Denton and Tarrant. Please click on appropriate link to determine if you are registered to vote.

As a reminder, voters are required to present an approved form of photo identification in order to vote in all Texas Elections.
