Frozen Fridays!

This month only, escape the heat and join us on the outdoor terrace from 4:00- 8:00 PM to enjoy a free popsicle! Mingle with other members and enjoy a sweet treat to balance your killer workout. Start your weekend off right!

Don’t Miss Champions Club’s Annual Member Bash!

Member Appreciation Week is finally here, and it’s all leading up to the Annual Member Appreciation Week Bash!

Our favorite week of the year is here, and we are ready to celebrate you all week long! Member Appreciation Week is our way of showing you how much we appreciate our entire Champions Club family. While the week is chockful of incredible membership appreciation surprises, it’s all leading up to the main event on Saturday. Our second-annual Member Bash is the biggest and best party of the year for our members.

Here are some of the fun events you can look forward to on Saturday.

  • Special Group Fitness Class: Start the morning off right with your fellow Champions Club members and group fitness teachers. This exciting blend of three different classes is sure to wake you up and get your blood pumping. Join Suzy for 20 minutes of yoga/stretching. Next, get your heart rate up with Megan during a 20-minute HIIT workout. Finish the hour strong and join Rosy and Cristina with 20 minutes of Zumba!
  • Food Trucks: Work up an appetite during Group Fitness and enjoy the culinary delights of our food truck vendors. Pick a nice spot and enjoy lunch with family and friends!
  • Games and Inflatables: We know that Champions Club members like to work hard and play even harder. We’ll have an assortment of outdoor games and inflatables for members of all ages to enjoy.
  • Music and more: We know our members love a surprise, so we won’t reveal all our cards yet, but it’s sure to be a day you won’t want to miss!

March is All About Member Appreciation

Everyone at Champions Club feels so lucky to have so many incredible members, and that’s why we love spoiling you with our monthly Member Appreciation events! March is the perfect month to spring into action, and Champions Club is your one-stop shop to reaching your health and fitness goals!

Check-in Challenge
This month’s fitness challenge is a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired Check-in Challenge to prove just how lucky we feel to have you be a part of our family. Just in case you need a little extra motivation to make it to the gym, we’re giving you a chance to get lucky! Check-in at Champions Club at 17 times this month, and you can win a raffle featuring a fitness gift set worth over $100!

March Madness Shootout
It’s nothing but net during March Madness. Stop by the fitness desk and join our March Madness Shootout Challenge! Every day you’ll have a chance to make up to 3 shots. For each basket you make, you’ll earn an entry into a drawing for a custom, one-of-a-kind Southlake basketball jersey! Better start practicing, because if you miss all 3 shots, you’ll owe the fitness staff 3 burpees!

New Month, New Member Appreciation Events at Champions Club

It may not be January anymore, but that’s no excuse to give up on your wellness resolutions.

We love all our Champions Club members that’s why we work hard to come up with fun member appreciation events every month. Keep up your resolution to visit us more often, and we’ll keep spoiling you like the family member that you are.

Instagram Giveaway
In the spirit of love and Valentine’s Day, we invite you to share the love on our Champions Club Instagram page. Follow us before February 14, and we will randomly select three followers on Valentine’s Day to win a Champions Club Backpack swag bag!

Kid’s Night Out
Your kiddos (ages 5-11) can join us for a special night filled with fun on Friday, February 18! We will be heading to our Indoor Champs Playground for a night of adventure, then crafting for Valentine’s Day in the Hall of Fame rooms. We’ll wrap up the fun-filled evening with pizza and a movie!

Parents, take advantage of this activity to go on a post-Valentine’s Day date!

Champions Club February Fitness Challenge

We know you’ve been obsessing with Wordle online, but it’s time to take your love for word challenges to the fitness floor!

The February Fitness Challenge is a Champions Club Word Scramble! Exercise your brain this month by completing a fitness word scramble the old school way! Each Monday, fitness staff will hide new letters around Champions Club to add to the scramble. Get out of your comfort zone and explore new fitness areas you’ve never taken advantage of before as you look for your next clue. Discover the correct word, and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a new Air Fryer and Air Fryer cookbook!

We didn’t forget about your muscles this month either! Each week we will also release workouts that you can complete while at Champions Club. The workouts are not necessary for the challenge they are just for fun. Nothing beats a double score of working out your body and mind!

This challenge is open to all Champions Club members. Age requirements still apply to fitness equipment usage.

Bring a Friend Friday
Weekends just got a lot better! We know that getting a good workout in on a Friday can be a little challenging, so we’re making it fun with Bring a Friend Friday. Every Friday this month, we invite you to bring one complimentary guest with you to Champions Club. Grab a buddy and start the weekend off right! Now is the perfect time to bring a friend to Champions Club. If members bring a friend and they join, they each receive 10 extra guest passes!

Weekend Workshops: Saturdays at 9 AM in Hall of Fame 2-3
The fun doesn’t stop on Friday nights. Saturdays are for smashing goals! Our exciting new Weekend Workshop series will teach you how to establish goals, understand the crucial components of an effective workout plan, and how to choose the best exercises for your fitness journey. Join Leslie Jones, CPT, and learn how to establish and maintain healthy habits.

Champions Club December Fitness Challenge

The year came and went, and now it’s time to start looking towards the new year!

We know our Champions Club members are motivated to smash new goals and continue making progress on their health journey. We’re here to help our members in whatever way we can. That’s why this month’s Fitness Challenge is all about Looking Into the New Year.

Our fitness staff wants to challenge you to start thinking about your 2022 goals early to get a head start on the new year. Stop by the fitness desk any time this month to share your goals with us, and we’ll showcase them on our 2022 Goals Wall! When you trust us with your mission, we’ll help hold you and our other members accountable. But that’s not all, we’ll also enter you into a raffle for a chance to win a fun Fitness Gift Basket!

Need help coming up with an attainable goal? It’s all about thinking SMART!

What are SMART goals?

  • Specific– Make your goal as specific as possible to give you a definite outcome to work towards. Include what needs to be accomplished and think of the steps necessary to make it come true!
    Example: Workout at Champions Club more this year.
  • Measurable– don’t forget to quantify your goal by adding a target number that helps you measure your progress.
    Example: Workout at Champions Club at least four times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • Achievable– It’s all about the Art of the Possible. Set yourself up for success by making realistic to you and your skillset. If you know your schedule will be busy, make your workout goals attainable so you can easily schedule them in.
    Example: Workout at Champions Club a minimum of 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes.
  • Relevant– don’t forget about your why! Make a goal that’s relevant to your life and what you want to achieve, not what you think your goals should be.
    Example: Workout at Champions Club a minimum of 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes to prioritize time spent for me.
  • Time-Bound– Giving yourself a time limit will make it easier to measure whether you achieved your goal or not. It also creates flexibility to pivot if need be.
    Example: Workout at Champions Club a minimum of 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes to prioritize time spent for me for at least 3 months and see how I feel.

Child Watch Little Champions Trick or Treated Last Friday

With a flick of the witch’s wand, Halloween vanished with a poof.

Spooky season is officially over, but the celebratory vibes were strong at Champions Club last Friday. Champions Club is not like a regular gym, we’re a cool gym, and we are always looking for creative ways to show our members that we appreciate them. Last Friday, Champions Club staff took Halloween membership appreciation to the next level by hosting a Trick or Treat celebration in the Administrative Hallway for the Child Watch kiddos.

All month long, department staff was busy decorating their office doors in true Halloween spirit! The competition was fierce, and the desire to have the best-decorated door filled the air in October. The weeks of anticipation led to a spooktacular event last Friday. Staff hosted three Trick Or Treat sessions for our littlest Champions at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 4:00 PM. Monsters, mummies, skeletons, and ghosts lined the hallway as Child Watch participants went door-to-door searching for fa-boo-lous tricks and treats.

The event was a huge success, and it’s safe to say that staff had as much, if not more fun than our Child Watch Trick or Treaters. We love nothing more than showing our members we care, and this event was no exception!

Here’s what our Membership Services Coordinator had to say about the fun event:

“We are always looking for fun and interactive activities to keep our littlest Champions Club members excited about coming to Child Watch. We can’t Trick or Treat every day, but you can bet our team keeps your little ones busy in Child Watch. We play games, do crafts, exercise on the outdoor and indoor playground, and even get into some holiday fun! Sharing a memorable experience during the holidays with our little champions was a real treat for all City Employees that participated,” Marianne Burton.

Halloween came and went. Now it’s time for Champions Club staff to put their heads back together to plan the next members-only appreciation event. Don’t miss out on the fun! Stay on top of all member appreciation initiatives here.

Work Out Buddies and Boo Boo’s Buddies Meet Up

We mean it when we say we are a Champions Club family, and that extends to our four-legged champions!

Champions Club members, join us on Monday, September 27 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm for a can’t miss member appreciation celebration! This legendary crossover event will have you asking, “who let the dogs out?”

We love working out and prioritizing wellness for the whole family, and this time we mean the entire family! Because our fur babies can’t join us at Champions Club, we are bringing the fun and exercise to them! Bring your favorite four-legged friend and meet us at Boo Boo’s Buddies Dog Park for a fun evening inside Bob Jones Park featuring giveaways, dog treats, toys, and more!

Champions Club members have more in common than they may think. They are determined, love a challenge, are willing to go the extra mile, and love their dogs! What better way to get to know your fellow workout buddies than by meeting their Boo Boo’s Buddies as well?

When asked about the inspiration behind this furtastic idea, Membership Services Coordinator, Marianne Burton explained that she, “thought it might be fun for members to connect with other members that share a common interest. Spending time together with friends and pets in a park that’s part of their community is a great way to bond outside of the Champions Club environment! We will have a fun giveaway as well as treats and toys for pets!”
