With only four months left until 2021, contractors are working on finalizing a few more details on N. White Chapel before they move on to the next stage.

The goal of the project is to turn the original two-lane road into four lanes between SH 114 and FM 1709, with a dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of N. White Chapel and Highland. The entire project is estimated to be completed in Spring 2022.

The dual-lane roundabout was completed in Spring 2020 and the work on the south end of N. White Chapel is going full steam ahead.

Work on the new temporary lanes is ongoing. Backfill continued for the retaining wall from San Saba Drive to Emerald Boulevard and contractors are set to repave the westbound lane at Chapel Downs starting this week.

The total N. White Chapel Widening Projects estimated to be around $17 million.
