Beginning the week of August 18, 2014, illuminated street name signs (ILSN’s) will be installed at all major intersections along Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709).
Motorists should expect rolling lane closures on Southlake Boulevard for the weeks of August 18th and 25th while these signs are being installed. The sign installation will take about a week (weather permitting), with the battery back-up installation happening the following week (the week of August 25th). The contractor, Durable Specialties, will have two to three crews performing the installation in an effort to expedite the project and limit the duration of lane closures.
We appreciate your patience during the installation of the illuminated street name signs and ask that motorists exercise caution when traveling along Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) during the weeks of August 18th and August 25th.
For questions regarding the illuminated street name signs, please contact Steven Anderson, P.E. in the Public Works Department at 817-748-8098. For additional information about the illuminated street name signs, please visit the project web page here.
