More roadwork for FM 1709 is headed your way! TxDOT contractors recently wrapped up Phase 1 of resurfacing the area from US-377 to west of Davis Boulevard this summer. Now they are ready to move forward with Phase 2 of the project and will be onsite starting Sunday, October 20 at 7 p.m. to mill and resurface all travel lanes from both directions of Southlake Boulevard from west of Davis Boulevard/1938 to SH 114.
No daytime lane closures are expected for this work to minimize the impact to the commuting public during peak traffic hours.
This project should be completed in 8-10 weeks, weather permitting.

Southlake Public Works Streets and Drainage Crews will be onsite on Monday, October 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. conducting concrete sidewalk repairs by the pedestrian bridge near Carroll Elementary School.
We advise pedestrians to use the sidewalk on the north side of W. Continental Boulevard located between Deer Hollow Boulevard and S. Peytonville Avenue to avoid the work zone.

Update: Contractors from Reynolds Asphalt Co. will be on conducting roadwork at Ginger Court starting Friday, September 6, weather permitting.
Crews will be onsite for two days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to repair the road surface Ginger Court from 1709/ W. Southlake Boulevard to end of the street. One lane of traffic will remain open during these repairs. Please contact Public Works Operations at (817) 748-8082 with any questions.
UPDATE: Contractors from Reynolds Asphalt Co. will be on-site to repair the road surface on 10 Bar Trail from N. Peytonville to Glen Court starting Tuesday September 3, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
One lane of traffic will remain open during the repairs. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic during construction. The expected completion time is two days.

Contractors will be onsite on Monday, August 12 to install a communication line across N. Carroll Avenue across Southlake Boulevard, and then along S. Carroll Avenue before making a connection to Central Market.
One lane may be closed on Carroll Avenue or on Southlake Boulevard between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The project is expected to be completed by Friday, August 23. Please drive safely and watch out for workers in the roadway.
Southlake Public Works crews will be on-site installing water service at a new home and will be excavating in the southbound lane on N. White Chapel located just north of Dove Road on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Due to the construction of the new line, the pavement in this area will have to be restored. Crews will return onsite Tuesday, August 6, 2019 – Wednesday, August 7, 2019, to repair the pavement between the hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Southlake Public Works Streets and Drainage crews will be on site conducting drainage improvements on Thursday, June 27 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Construction work will take place from 221 Westwood Drive to 212 Eastwood Drive. One lane of traffic will remain open during the drainage improvements and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic during construction.
Work could last more than one day.

Carroll ISD’s contractors will be reducing a small section of W. Continental adjacent to Carroll Elementary School to a single lane starting Monday, June 24 to access and tap the City’s 12” water main which is located under the westbound lane.
This closure will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily until the proposed improvements to the water line are complete and the road is repaired.
The contractor has an approved traffic control plan which requires flagmen at all time to facilitate traffic. Though delays will certainly be expected, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times during this partial closure.
Construction is expected to be complete by July 2, weather permitting.

Crews will be on site replacing the asphalt on E. Continental Boulevard starting Tuesday, June 11, 2019 through Friday, June 21, 2019 weather permitting.
Work will take place east of Byron Nelson Parkway to Crooked Lane between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday. One lane of traffic will remain open during the resurfacing project. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic during construction.
The roundabout at S. Carroll Avenue/Brumlow Avenue will also be closed on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 and again on Friday, June 14, 2019. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes on these dates.
