CMA Student Organizes Successful Donation Drive for Parkland

CMA_ParklandDallas’ Parkland Hospital preemies are a little more warm (and dry) thanks to Carroll ISD student Nikhil Ravi. Ravi organized a clothing and diaper drive among his classmates. Together, the students collected 72 bags of diapers, 12 large boxes of diapers and 82 different outfits. The items were delivered to nurses at Parkland’s NICU over the winter break.

“I want to thank the students for supporting this annual drive,” Ravi said. “The generosity of the Carroll Medical Academy and National Honor Society students and family who participated was amazing.”

Ravi is a junior at Carroll Senior High School and is also a student of the school’s Carroll Medical Academy.

Ravi said the nurses at Parkland were happy to receive the donations. “It is a great feeling to know that we will help so many families at Parkland even if it is in a small way.”
