Long time Volunteer Honored for Service

Former Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Robert Hudson was honored for his service at the September 15, 2015 City Council Meeting. Hudson had served on the commission since 2005 and prior to that on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Mayor Laura Hill recognized Hudson’s service earlier this year with a proclamation.

Whereas the volunteers who serve on the many Boards and Commissions of the City are part of the reason the City of Southlake is such a great City to live; and,

Whereas, Robert Hudson has faithfully served as a member of multiple boards including the Southlake 2030 Committee, the Zoning Board of Adjustment from 2004 – 2005, and the Planning and Zoning Commission from 2005 – 2015; and,

Whereas, the performance of his duties and responsibilities as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission has been characterized by excellent, constructive contributions to the success of our community; and,

Whereas, he has earned the admiration and respect of the people with whom he has come in contact, and the affection of his fellow public servants; now,

Therefore, I, Mayor Laura Hill, on behalf of the City Council, in recognition of Robert Hudson’s long-time service and exemplary spirit he has exhibited in carrying out his duties as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, do hereby proclaim June 4, 2015, as
