The Pokemon Go craze is creating quite a buzz with children and adults. The App is taking players on a real-life adventure, of sorts, in search of Pokemon characters.
The game imitates what it would be like if a Pokemon character really were roaming around you at all times, in a kind of augmented virtual reality world, ready to be caught and collected. This feature has resulted in some “trainers” or Pokemon players becoming distracted and running into people, walls, poles etc. while playing the game. Pokemon fever has resulted in falls, bumps and bruises to players.
The Southlake Police Department wants to urge players, especially young teens, to practice safety.
