On the street’s east side, the construction of the screen wall adjacent to Myers Meadow is underway with column construction and panel placement.

Placement of the underground box culvert storm drains on the project’s north end are complete. Now crews are working on the roadway construction for the new northbound lanes from Brookforest Drive/Kingwood Drive to Randol Mill Avenue. Construction of the southbound lanes will follow once the northbound lanes are finished.

TxDOT has estimated the project will be complete this summer. The 30 mph speed limit will stay in place until that time.

Update:  July 20, 2016:  Dove Road between Randol Mill and Peytonville Avenue is officially closed.

Dove Road between Randol Mill Avenue and Peytonville Avenue is expected to be closed to construction starting Monday, July 11, 2016.

Beginning the week of July 11, 2016, Dove Road from Randol Mill Avenue to Peytonville Avenue will be closed for approximately 30 days to allow for the installation of underground storm drain infrastructure at the Southlake Meadows residential development.

Resident access will not be restricted; however the closing of Dove Road will require motorists to use detours to navigate around the construction zone.  Detour signs will be posted to make finding alternate routes easier.   Message boards are currently in place advertising the upcoming closure.

The closure is expected to cause delays in the area.  Please plan trips accordingly.  Regular status updates will be provided during the closure via the City’s My Southlake News and social media sites, as well as on the project page found on cityofsouthlake.com.
