Regional Transportation Input Opportunity For Local Residents

Regional Transportation Input OpportunityThe Regional Transportation Council and North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), together serving as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 1974, are currently seeking public input.  This is a  opportunity for Southlake residents to learn about transportation in the region and participate in the process that sets future priorities.

Each year, NCTCOG in consultation and coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation and public transportation agencies, complies a listing of obligated projects, including investments in roadways, transit, maintenance, pedestrian walkways and bicycle transportation facilities, for which federal funds were obligated in the preceding fiscal year.

A comprehensive list of funded transportation projects through 2018 is maintained in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  Projects with committed funds from federal, state, and local sources are included in the TIP.  To maintain an accurate project listing, this document is updated on a regular basis.

Information is now posted online at www.nctcog.org/input for public review and comment March 9 – April 7, 2015.  Residents may request printed copies of the information, call 817-608-2335, or e-mail jstout@nctcog.org.  Comments are due by 11:59 pm April 7, 2015.  Southlake residents can stay in the know and review the 2014 listing of projects online at www.nctcog.org/input, or submit comments and questions to NCTCOG through the following contact information:
