Heads up to those who live in the Cross Timber Hills subdivision! Road construction will take place along the entire length of Woodbrook Lane, from Lakeview Drive to N. Peytonville Avenue, starting March 10. Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some Saturdays as needed to stay on schedule. The project is expected to take about a month, though the timeline may change depending on weather conditions. Residents will still be able to drive the full length of the road, with traffic control provided by the contractor. Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements.

Heads up, Southlake! Our crews will be repairing a leaking water valve on N Peytonville Avenue near the Hampton Manor Way entrance on Monday, January 27, weather permitting. The southbound lane will be closed during the repair, but flaggers will be on-site to help direct traffic. We appreciate your patience as we complete this important work.

To ensure smoother roads for our community, the City of Southlake is preparing for two upcoming road improvement projects and a drainage rehabilitation project!

Drainage Maintenance Project:

From January 15th through the 17th, weather permitting, a City contractor will perform drainage maintenance on W. Dove Road near Shady Oaks Drive, west of SH 114. Southbound traffic will be directed to merge into the northbound lane, but only minor delays are expected throughout this work.

Road Rehabilitation Projects:

Work hours for both of the following projects will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with traffic control on-site. Please note that dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

Taylor Street and Emerald Circle Improvements

Starting January 20, 2025, crews will begin work on Taylor Street and Emerald Circle in the Emerald Estates neighborhood near Lonesome Dove Park. This project includes removing the top layer of road surfacing and laying new asphalt for a smoother ride. Work is expected to be completed by January 31, 2025.

Burney Lane Roadwork

A little farther north, crews will begin similar work on Burney Lane beginning January 23, 2025. This project will focus on repaving the road beginning at Harbor Court and stretching north to the end of the cul-de-sac. The estimated completion date for this phase is February 14, 2025.

Please be aware of upcoming work on the 1300 block of Shady Oaks, near the Burnett Acres Subdivision. Crews will be making asphalt repairs starting January 23rd through the 24th, weather permitting. Work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flaggers on-site for traffic control. Thanks for your patience as we improve our roads!

Our Public Works crews will be working at a few locations along Dove Road this week. Below are the details on what to expect and how it may affect your drive:

Road Striping at the Dove and Peytonville Roundabout:

Striping crews will be refreshing the roundabout at the intersection of Dove and Peytonville on Saturday, December 21, weather permitting. If needed, they will return on Monday, December 23, to complete the work. Please drive with caution and give the crews plenty of space.


Drainage Maintenance on Dove Road near Victoria Lane:

From December 18 to 23, weather permitting, drainage maintenance will take place along E. Dove Road, near Victoria Lane, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. During this time, eastbound traffic will be directed into the westbound lane, causing minor delays. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our roads!

Contractors will begin preliminary work this week on the Randol Mill Waterline and Sidewalk Improvements Project, laying the groundwork for upcoming construction. Work will take place along Randol Mill Avenue in the northwest portion of town starting today through December 6, weather permitting. Some traffic delays on northbound lanes are expected from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but one lane will remain open for traffic. Please drive carefully, and thank you for your patience while we prepare for this exciting project!


Starting today through October 14th, weather permitting, the Southlake Drainage Team will be performing routine maintenance along the North Peytonville Avenue right of way, between Woodbrook Lane and Raven Bend Court in the northern portion of town. Southbound traffic will be directed to merge into the northbound lane, so please drive cautiously to keep our hardworking team safe.

Heads up, Shadow Creek Estates residents! The City Streets Division will conduct road repairs on Shadow Creek Court from September 16th to September 20th, weather permitting. The road will remain open for traffic, with work scheduled daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thank you for your patience as we work on making your ride smoother and safer.

Contractors will begin surveying this week for the Morgan Road Drainage Improvements Project within the Cedar Oaks Estates. Work will begin tentatively on September 10th, weather permitting. They'll be focusing on Cedar Court, near Morgan Road, and along Sleepy Hollow Trail. No traffic disruptions are expected, and the surveys should only take a couple of days. Thank you for driving with caution when in the area.

Update 9/5/2024: Please note that the schedule for this construction has been adjusted. This work is now expected to conclude on September 13th, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Starting September 3rd, you might notice our City Streets Crew out on East Continental Boulevard between the Southlake Public Works Operations building and Crooked Lane as they work to complete a road repair. Work hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with flaggers present to keep traffic moving smoothly. This repair should be completed on September 10th, weather permitting.
