A record number of Carroll ISD students were named National Merit Scholars this year. 46 students were named National Merit Commended, 22 National Merit Semi-Finalists, 14 National Merit Hispanic and one National Merit Achievement Scholar for a total number of 83 students.
The students and their families were invited to the Carroll ISD Administration Center on Wednesday, Oct. 22 for a Breakfast Celebration to recognize the student’s academic achievements.

Hope Miller, senior at Carroll Senior High School, was recently named a Regional Scholar in the 2013 Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Selection is based on leadership and accomplishments. 250 Regional scholars are chosen nationwide from 100,000 applicants. Along with receiving a $10,000 scholarship, scholars attend a Coca-Cola Leadership Conference in Atlanta. Congratulations to Hope on being chosen as a distinguished member of the 25th Class of Coca-Cola Scholars!
