Belles Take Top Prize in ShowMaker Championship

The Emerald Belles competed in the ShowMaker State Championship Drill Team Competition the weekend of February 23 at Texas State University in San Marcos. The team won First Place Overall in their division.

“I am so proud of my Belles!” said Melissa Page, Emerald Belle Director. “I am so blessed to work with such an amazing group of girls and parents.”

The Belles won first in Lyrical and Jazz, and tied for first in High Kick. They also received Overall Entertainment, Line of Champions, Judge’s Choice, Most Creative Costuming, and Outstanding Choreography, Technique, Showmanship, and Precision.

The Belle Officers also won first place in their division. The officers took home top prizes in Jazz, Contemporary, and Lyrical events. Belle Officers also received Overall Entertainment, Line of Champions, Judge’s Award, Most Creative Costuming and Outstanding Choreography, Technique, Showmanship, and Precision.

Cheylee Weigel and Sophia Parrish were named Semi-finalists in the solo division. Addie Perkins and Laurel Kavanaugh were Finalists in the 9/10 division. Addie also won first  place and Laurel won fourth place. In the 11/12 division Anna Grace Pruitt won first place, Jenna Seaton second place and Lacey Munoz fourth place.
