Spring Signing Day Features 19 Dragon Student-Athletes

Carroll Senior High School will host a spring signing event at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 in the Student Activity Center. The ceremony will include 19 Carroll student-athletes signing athletic scholarships with colleges or universities.

Special Day For Five Dragon Student Athletes

Wednesday marked another special student-athlete ceremony of the 2011-2012 school year for the Carroll Dragons. Five Carroll seniors signed National Letters of Intent with colleges and universities in front of family, friends and coaches at Carroll Senior High School’s Student Activity Center.

Three members of the Carroll Lady Dragons District 7-5A championship basketball team signed scholarships — Sierra Maykus (McMurry); Caitlin Barrett (Trinity University); Kayla Reinhart (Boise State). Cheerleader Kelci Ortiz signed with Baylor and 2011 state tennis singles qualifier Austin McCasin accepted an appointment to Army. This event marked the third Carroll signing day ceremony this year as 27 Dragons student athletes have inked their futures.

Five Athletes Signing Scholarships Wednesday

Carroll will honor five student athletes as they sign National Letters of Intent on Wednesday at Carroll Senior High School. The event begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Student Activity Center and a reception will follow. Family, friends and administration are welcome to attend.
