Change in Outdoor Warning Siren Monthly Test

On Wednesday, April 4th, the time of the monthly Outdoor Warning Siren test will move from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This change is being made to bring the timing of our test in line with other jurisdictions in Tarrant County. Moving the test to 1:00 p.m. will ensure that everyone performs siren testing on a consistent day at a consistent time.

The City of Southlake has five outdoor warning sirens located throughout the City:

·         DPS Headquarters – 600 State Street

·         DPS West – 2100 West Southlake Boulevard

·         Bicentennial Park – 400 North White Chapel Boulevard

·         Bob Jones Park – 355 East Bob Jones Road

·         Public Works Operations – 1950 East Continental

If you hear a warning siren sound and it is not during the normal testing time period, go indoors to check your local television channel or tune to a news radio station to find out why the siren has been sounded.  You will then be instructed on the proper safety precautions that you need to take. If you have any questions, please contact our Assistant to the Director, DPS Emergency Management Coordinator Kyle Taylor at 817-748-8624 or for more information emergency preparedness.
