Winter Weather causes icy roads again

UPDATE 6:30 a.m. 2/11/2014

Southlake Public Works sanding crews began sanding bridges along the SH 114 corridor starting at 8:30 Monday night., dropping more than 15 tons of de icing material.  Sanding crews are watching to slick spot during the Tuesday morning commute.

The City is open regular business hours, 8am-5pm.

Southlake emergency responders and road crews have been busy, fighting the effects of another winter storm that covered roads and bridges with a thin sheet of ice.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 6:00 p.m.  Tuesday evening.  Drivers are asked to use caution on the roads ways and to give sand trucks and emergency vehicles plenty of room.
