Help Rebuild a Life This October

This month, Southlake Cares is turning its attention to a really important issue – domestic violence. For the rest of October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Southlake Cares asks you to support SafeHaven and their efforts to help those who need it most.

SafeHaven is the largest and most comprehensive agency in Tarrant County providing services at no cost to domestic violence families.  This organization provides 24-hour care at two emergency shelters and transitional housing to families seeking their first taste of independence.  The highest priority is to meet the needs of the women and children residing in SafeHaven shelters, including clothes, toiletries, and baby care items.  Please consider donating any of these items, as well as those listed on the Immediate Needs List.

For in-person donations, please label as “Immediate Needs” and drop off items Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at either of their Resource Centers: 1010 N. Center St., Arlington, or 1100 Hemphill Street, Suite 101, Fort Worth. SafeHaven also has an Amazon Wish List if you prefer donate online.

SafeHaven is Tarrant County’s only domestic violence service provider, offering safety now and support for the future.  Your support saves lives.
