The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and we are all too cool for school—that’s right, Spring Break is just around the corner!

With the arrival of warmer weather and the exciting prospect of classes being out for a week, also comes the question of what to do with the newfound free time. Luckily for Southlake students and parents, the Community Services Department is offering multiple camp opportunities to keep kids curious and engaged.

Adventures in Science Club-Spring Break

Have a future scientist in the family? Then look no further than Adventures in Science Club-Spring Break! This Spring Break camp will offer naturally inquisitive children opportunities for hands-on experiments and projects. The best part is that most of the projects completed at camp can be taken home. Open to science-enthusiasts aged 6-13 years-old, this club gives students the tools they need to succeed all while having fun!

Cross Timbers Spring Break Nature Camp

Naturalists, outdoor enthusiasts, and explorers unite! If adventure is calling your child’s name, then the Cross Timbers Spring Break Nature Camp is for you. Join us at the Bob Jones Nature Center for a week of practicing outdoors skills, hiking, crafting, and creating! Conduct exciting science experiments and learn all about Southlake’s local ecosystem and how we can become good stewards of the land.

Spring Break Camp Mania

Calling all fun-lovers, creators, and young innovators: Camp Mania is back and it’s the perfect destination for a Southlake Champions Club staycation! If your child is a social butterfly wanting to learn and play with friends during Spring Break, then save your spot for Camp Mania. Join us for a week of arts and crafts, structured activities, free play, and lots of fun!

Looking for something fun to do on your day off school? Join us at Camp Mania!

Camp Mania is Southlake’s premier camp where kids ages 5–11 can have fun, make friends and enjoy DFW’s best field trip locations on their days off school.

Registration is now open for our April 22 Day Break Camp Mania. Children must be currently enrolled in kindergarten or a private school equivalent to participate.

*No before or after care will be provided.
Resident Cost: $33 per camper
Non-Resident Cost: $41 per camper

Join the City of Southlake for another exciting year of Camp Mania! Camp Mania gives kids ages 5-11 a safe place to have fun, make friends and enjoy some of DFW’s coolest field trip locations on their days off from school.

Registration is now open for our May 25 Day Break Camp Mania. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to register online before this popular camp sells out! Children must be currently enrolled in kindergarten to participate in Camp Mania.

Highlights from Holiday Break Camp Mania 2017

The City of Southlake extends special thanks to CareNow for giving Camp Mania the opportunity to provide kids with some of their favorite camp experiences this holiday season.

Camp Mania is City of Southlake’s uniquely kid-focused camp where kids ages 5-11 can have fun, make friends and explore the world around them in a safe and structured environment. With the help of generous sponsors including CareNow, 2017’s Holiday Break Camp Mania campers enjoyed games and activities, went on exciting field trips and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Holiday Break Camp Mania Highlights

  • Camp Mania took field trips to Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Tornado Terry’s Arcade and the Perot Museum.Southlake DPS shows kids the radios in their vehicles
  • The Southlake Police and Fire departments visited camp and showed the kids presentations of what it takes to be a policeman or fireman. DPS showed off their vehicles and special gear while talking about safety.
  • A balloon twister came to camp to create wonderful, colorful balloon art for the kids.
  • Holiday-themed activities and crafts were planned for the kids, including Turkey Tag, gingerbread and snowflake crafts, cookie decorating, Minute-To-Win-It games and a New Year’s celebration!

Spring Break Camp Mania returns for 2016

Join Southlake’s Parks and Recreation staff for a full week of fun, sun and excitement! Spring Break Camp Mania has become a Southlake staple for more than nine years and is the leader of Spring Break entertainment for children ages 5-12!

Spring Break Camp Mania will be held March 14 – 18 at Durham Intermediate School. Camp Mania provides structured games, free play, arts and craft activities, field trips and much more, all in a fun and safe environment. Campers are invited to have fun and meet new friends in a safe environment during their time off of school.

Structured activities take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with both before and after care provided as part of registration. Cost for the week is $150.
