Stars and Stripes 2022 – Schedule of Events

Grab your blankets, chairs, and coolers, and join us for the best patriotic event in town. The official countdown to Southlake’s Stars and Stripes starts today.

The event kicks off in Southlake Town Square on Sunday, July 3, at 3 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. The fireworks show is set to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Independence Day performances are set to take place on two stages: one in Rustin and Family Park and the other in Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park. Food vendors will be set up throughout the event, and kid’s activities will take place near Rustin and Family Park.

This year, we will have Cooling Zones set up along Main Street for patrons to hydrate and beat the summer heat.

Public restrooms will also be onsite.

If you plan to set up a viewing spot prior to the event, you may set up on Saturday, July 2, after 7 p.m.  The best places to view the fireworks show and an event map can be found online.

As a friendly reminder, the City is not responsible for any unattended, lost or stolen items.

Call for Volunteers for Southlake Stars and Stripes

Get a front-row seat to one of the most anticipated patriotic events of the year by signing up to be a volunteer at Southlake Stars and Stripes event set to take place on Sunday, July 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 11: 00 p.m. in Southlake Town Square.

Volunteers will be assigned to assist with one of the following areas and/or tasks:

  • Event set up and break down
  • Kids’ Corner activities for children
  • Shuttle line management
  • Event sanitization (i.e., wiping down tables, chairs, etc.)
  • Trash pickup
  • Information Booth – handing out free T-Shirts and answering frequently asked questions
  • Visit Southlake Booth – handing out free color-changing cups and answering frequently asked questions
  • Other assignments as needed

Volunteers can sign-up to work one of the following shifts:

  • 2:30 – 8:30 p.m.
  • 6:30 – 11:30 p.m.
  • 2:30 – 11:30 p.m.

Volunteers will receive assignments before the event at a mandatory orientation. Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Champions Club at The Marq located at 285 Shady Oaks Drive, Southlake, TX 76902.

On event day, volunteers will be asked to check in at the Volunteer Tent located in the Kids’ Zone. Due to limited parking, volunteers are encouraged to utilize the shuttle services to transport them to Town Hall.

Food and beverages will be served to all participating volunteers during the event.

Southlake Stars and Stripes Call for Sponsors

The City of Southlake is seeking event sponsors for the Southlake Stars and Stripes event set to take place on Sunday, July 3 in Southlake Town Square from 3 – 11 p.m.

This free community event offers live entertainment, activities for kids, a variety of food and beverage options, and memorable patriotic fireworks show for all to enjoy.

This is your chance to showcase your business in front of 30,000 plus participants, as well as an opportunity to form a partnership with the City of Southlake.
