Stars and Stripes Southlake Set to Light up the Sky on July 3

Made for everyone, the 19th annual Stars and Stripes Southlake is back with family-fun patriotic festivities on Tuesday, July 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The City of Southlake is excited to bring back the free community event offering live entertainment, activities for kids, food and drink options, free shuttle service and a glittering display of fireworks.

Helping to set the tone for the night will be the musical entertainment on two stages in Southlake Town Square: Family Park and Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park. Kicking off the night is a live performance by the Southlake Community Band. Songbird Jones and Limelight Band will have you dancing through the night. Don’t forget about all the patriotic ceremonies throughout the event too.

There’s something for everyone at Stars and Stripes! Bring the kids to the Creation Station for patriotic crafts and then check out the inflatable slides, obstacles and midway games in the KidZone. Toddlers won’t be left out; there’s a special area just for them. With so much to do, make sure you have time to check it all out.

Let’s not forget about the food! From burgers to barbeque, ice pops and more, guests will find delicious eats at the 20 local food stands and food trucks at the event. Crowd favorites like cotton candy, fried Oreos and lemonade booths will be on site too.

Make sure you find a good spot to watch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Launched from the rooftop of the West Parking Garage and synchronized to patriotic favorites, the fireworks are the perfect way to end the night. Seen from in and around Southlake Town Square, the best viewing spots include Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park, McPherson Park, DPS Headquarters, Park Village and Shops of Southlake. Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Although parking for the event is free, internal Southlake Town Square parking lots will close at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event. All surface lots and the East Garage will close once full or by 7:30 p.m. Free shuttle services will be available at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Gateway Church, with roundtrip rides to and from McPherson Park from 3:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
