Spring in Texas brings bluebonnets, rain showers and often times, thunderstorms and tornadoes. This is why it’s important to be prepared for severe weather before it arrives. Certain supplies for emergency situations will be sold tax-free in Texas during the 2017 Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday, April 22-24.
“The state of Texas has taken on this initiative to ensure Texans can prepare themselves for disaster. This demonstrates the state’s commitment to disaster preparedness and mitigation for residents, and offers an opportunity for residents to set themselves up for success if confronted with an emergency situation,” stated Eric Hutmacher, emergency management coordinator for the City of Southlake.
