Join the City of Southlake as we celebrate the end of the year Hawaiian-style at the “Southlake Luau” Southlake Saturday Nite! 4th through 6th graders, come dressed in your leis, hula skirts and summer attire on Saturday, May 18th from 7:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. at Durham Intermediate School.
Compete against your friends on various inflatables or at 4-on-4 basketball. There will be a live DJ, dancing, entertainment and various contests. Concession items (everything under $2.00) will be sold and T-shirts will also be available to purchase for $10.00 each. To ensure a safe environment, there will be a uniformed DPS officer on site.

Arts Council Northeast and the City of Southlake are pleased to welcome Baby and the Geezers for a concert on May 18, 2013, at Southlake Town Square.
Baby and the Geezers got its start in Andy Follett’s living room in the fall of 2006. They play everything from Pink to Patsy Cline and George Strait to Earth Wind and Fire. Baby and the Geezers is a three to seven piece energetic cover band. The band performs a high energy, upbeat, pop/variety show.
Through the MasterWorks Series, Arts Council Northeast and the City of Southlake present free performances on selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent of local, regional, and national artists.

Dallas and Fort Worth area mayors have proclaimed April 25, 2013 “Parental Alienation Awareness Day” and “Bubbles of LOVE Day DFW” in support of the event.
“Bubbles of LOVE Day DFW” has something for everyone. The event begins with entertainment from the one and only Pookie the Clown. Pookie will delight all ages with face painting, balloon animals and a fantastic magic show featuring live adorable bunnies. Kids from 1-100 will enjoy the “Bubble Zone!” “Bubbles of LOVE Day DFW” is honored that the tradition continues as adults will have the unique opportunity to meet internationally renowned co-parenting expert, Dr. Richard Warshak. A bestselling author and consultant to the White House, courts and legislatures; Dr. Warshak is highly sought after around the world for his expertise and public speaking.
At 12:00 noon, everyone at the event will blow bubbles together for 10 minutes to share the universal message that “just as bubbles flow freely, so should the love that a child has for both parents.” Each person in attendance will be given a bottle of bubbles.

Join the City of Southlake for an Easter celebration! Easter in the Park will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at North Park from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Activities will include egg hunts, photos with Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny, petting zoo, crafts, games, live entertainment, inflatables, balloon artists and much more! Thank you to the Kid Zone Sponsor, Whites Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, for their support in Easter in the Park 2013! Activities and refreshments will be available at no cost. Refreshments include: cotton candy, kettle corn and water.
The 2nd annual Easter Basket Contest is an activity you will not want to miss! Print the Easter Basket Contest Form, have fun decorating it and bring it to the event for a chance to win!

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s inaugural season of the concert series DSO on the GO, presented by The Ebby Halliday Companies, returns to Southlake April 4, 2013. DSO on the GO features the DSO playing classical and pops concerts in eight cities and neighborhoods across North Texas, with concerto soloists who are principal musicians in the DSO.
