Child Watch Trick Or Treat Returns!

Calling all goblins and ghouls, witches, princesses, and superheroes: Child Watch Trick or Treat is coming back!

We’re at the height of spooky season, and the Champions Club team is getting ready to welcome another batch of Child Watch trick-or-treaters. Last year we began this event by decorating our administrative office doors and inviting the Child Watch kiddos to trick or treat in the Administrative Hallway. We’re at it again this year, and we can’t wait to host our littlest champions!

Halloween falls on a Monday this year, and the Champions Club staff is ready to deck the halls with boughs of cobwebs, frights, and delights! Join us on Monday, October 31, and go door-to-door to get some Halloween candies and goodies!

There will be two Child Watch Trick or Treat sessions. One will be in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

  • 10:00 AM: Morning Session
  • 4:00 PM: Afternoon Session

All Child Watch kiddos can show up in costume for this spooktacular annual tradition, but costumes are not a prerequisite for candy and fun.

See you on Halloween…if you dare!

Residents Treated to Extra Patrols on Halloween Night

Officers greet trick-or-treaters

October 31, 2012 was a great night for trick-or-treaters!  Kids were all dressed up in their best Halloween costumes as moms and dads walked children from door to door looking for their favorite candies and chocolate treats.  The Southlake Police Department was also out in force patrolling the streets to help keep trick-or-treaters safe. “It was a great opportunity for our officers and our command staff to meet and greet folks in neighborhoods all across the City,” said Police Chief Stephen Mylett.

Many of the trick-or-treaters waved as officers left each neighborhood and parents and kids alike thought it was pretty special that Southlake Police Officers were so visible especially with so many kids out and about. As one parent said, “This is great and we really appreciate all that you do to help keep our City safe, especially on a busy night like this.” (*See more photos on www.facebook.com/Southlakepublicsafety)
