Community News: Select Baseball Tryouts

The Lone Star Rebels are a 12U AA, independent, select baseball team, based in Southlake, Texas. Organizers are actively seeking a few, talented and dedicated pitchers and position players that are interested in playing 12U AA Select Baseball for the 2014 Spring/Summer seasons. TRYOUTS

Tryouts will be conducted, periodically, prior to each season or until our roster is filled.  The next scheduled tryout will be:

*DATE/TIME:   Saturday, January 18, 2014  2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

*LOCATION:    Southlake Carroll High School – Baseball Field

800 North White Chapel Blvd., Southlake, Texas 76092

(The baseball field is directly behind the school)

ELIGIBLE PLAYERS

Our team is seeking skilled, disciplined, 12U players that have previously played advanced or select baseball or believe they are now capable of playing at the “next level”, above REC League Baseball.  Eligible players must have been born between May 1, 2001 and April 30, 2002 (although a talented, younger player, or two, may be considered).

Walk-ups are always welcome. If your son is unable to attend one of our tryouts, individual workouts may be arranged.

Mandatory Meeting for Dragon Cheer Hopefuls

All students interested in trying out for Varsity or Junior Varsity Cheerleading, along with their parent/guardian, must attend a mandatory information meeting on February 20 at 6 p.m. Exact information on tryout requirements, rules and practice/tryout schedules will be discussed. The current tryout schedule is as follows:

March 1:   Minimum Tumbling Skills
March 4-5: Tryout Clinic
March 6:  Mock Tryouts
March 7: Official Tryouts

If the student and parent/guardian are unable to attend the initial meeting, a makeup session is scheduled for February 25 at 4:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Carroll High School.  Attendance is mandatory to proceed through the tryout process. Tryout packets are available for pickup at CMS, DMS, CHS, and CSHS campuses.

 

 

Mandatory Meeting for Emerald Belle Candidates

All girls interested in joining the Varsity or Junior Varsity Emerald Belle drill team must attend an upcoming meeting. This mandatory event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. inside the Carroll Senior High School cafeteria. The parent or candidate must attend. Organizers will discuss exact information on tryout requirements, rules and practice schedules.

This year’s Emerald Belle Tryout Clinic will be held April 2-4 from 4:15- 6:15 p.m. each day. Emerald Belle tryouts will be Friday, April 5 at 4:15 p.m.
