Singley's Finish Earns Him Hawaii Event Invite

Dragon graduate Ted Singley, headed to USC in the fall, recently competed in the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. He earned 16th place in the 1,500 freestyle, 24th in the Butterfly and 30th in the 400 freestyle. Because of Singley’s finish in the 1,500 freestyle, he was selected to the Junior Pan-Pac team. The Junior Pan-Pac swim meet will be held Aug. 20-27 in Hawaii. Singley will represent the USA against other teams around the world. This season, Singley helped lead the Dragons to the Class 5A state championship and won individual titles in the 200 and 500 freestyle.

Junior-to-be Jonathan Roberts finished 37th in the 1,500 freestyle and 83rd in the 400 Individual Medley.
