Southlake Fire Services has introduced a new program to assist residents in communicating important medical information in the event of an emergency. The “Vial of Life” program is used by emergency personnel to assist them in treating someone who is not able to speak or is unconscious.
This is how the program works:
A vial and medical information sheet must be completed for each individual person who lives in the residence. Their personal information is kept safe and secure inside the residence. If a participants medical condition changes, a new medical information sheet must be completed.
The “Vial of Life” program is free to Southlake residents and are available for FREE at DPS Headquarters Fire Services Division located at 600 State Street. For more information please contact EMS Lieutenant Ryan Arthur at (817) 748-8328.
