Updated: 3/23/15 to include additional work sites and map
Starting the week of March 23, 2015, City contractors will begin installing a 12-inch waterline at West Bob Jones Road, from TW King Road to North White Chapel. Crews also plan to replace an existing two-inch waterline with an eight-inch waterline connector at Lake Drive/Burney Lane and Palo Duro/Lonesome Dove Road.
Both projects are tiered recommendations in the Southlake 2030 Water Master Plan and will ensure that water demands are met in growing and developing areas, to eliminate dead end lines in the service system and to ensure adequate fire flow in case of emergencies.
The projects, which will be confined along West Bob Jones Road and Lonesome Dove Road up to Burney Lane to the east (see map), respectively, should have minimal traffic impact. Flaggers will be on site in the event of lane closures, however; and the City will communicate any potential closures via My Southlake News and its social media channels.
