Apex Arts League Presents Dallas Bach Society

Apex Arts League is pleased to welcome the Dallas Bach Society to northeast Tarrant County for a chamber orchestra concert on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Chapel at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

The Dallas Bach Society will present three of the great masterworks by Johann Sebastian, featuring the baroque flute, strings, and harpsichord.

All works will be performed using exclusive period instruments, as well as sounds and techniques used during the composer’s era.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Returns to Southlake for Sounds of the Season

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will return to Southlake on December 13 at 7 p.m. to perform Sounds of the Season at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

 

Associate Conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Jacob Joyce, will lead the orchestra in an array of holiday favorites such as Bugler’s Holiday, It’s Christmas Time, A Christmas Festival, Sleigh Ride, selections from Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B Minor, BWV 1067 and more.

Apex Arts League and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Present Sounds of the Season

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will return to Southlake on December 21 to perform a holiday-themed concert at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Associate Conductor Alejandro Gómez Guillén will lead the orchestra in seasonal favorites, including selections from The Nutcracker Suite, Charlie Brown Christmas, Pachelbel’s Canon and Gigue, Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and a Christmas sing-along.

The program, titled Sounds of the Season, is presented in partnership with the Apex Arts League.

This concert begins at 7:00 p.m. in White’s Chapel UMC, Southlake on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Prices are $10 for children and $20 for adults, with discounts available for Apex Arts League members. Southlake Community Band Presents Its Annual Symphonic Concert On Tuesday, March 8th

The Southlake Community Band will be in concert on Tuesday, March 8th at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. The concert time is 7:00 PM.

This is the band’s annual “symphonic” concert and this year will present some of the famous orchestral compositions that were created especially for concert bands. These will include works by J.S. Bach, Gustav Holtz, Percy Grainger and even John Phillip Sousa. This entertaining and educational program will feature a variety of musical styles and will have something to please everyone in the family.

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra "Holiday Brass" Ensemble-December 17

Apex Arts League is proud to bring back the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Brass Ensemble with a “Holiday Brass” concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday December 17 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $5 for Apex members, seniors and students. 

Nothing stirs the warmth and spirit of the holiday season like music. This concert will be performed by a full brass choir, including trumpets, horns, trombones, tuba and percussion. The concert, under the direction of Fort Worth Symphony Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya, will feature a variety of festive music, including traditional holiday melodies all played with the blend of virtuosity and brilliance that are to unique the brass sound.

Apex Arts League “Shout for Joy, Sound the Trumpet”

apex arts leagueThe Apex Arts League announces “Shout for Joy, Sound the Trumpet,” an evening of baroque music for trumpet, soprano and organ. This unique program will take place on Monday, March 4th at 7:30 p.m., in the sanctuary of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Southlake.

It will feature Adam Gordon, assistant principal trumpet of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and baroque trumpet instructor at University of North Texas. Gordon will be joined by Camille King, soprano, and Phil Bordelon, organ.

Highlights of the program include a performance of J.S. Bach’s Cantata 51 “Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen,” as well as works by Purcell and Melani.

Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and Apex members.
