The First Annual Wildflower Buffalo Stomp is on November 15

The Southlake Historical Society and the city of Southlake invite you to join them at 2 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2015 for the city’s first annual Wildflower Buffalo Stomp at the Southlake Log House located in Bicentennial Park. (The log house sits under the Southlake water tower at the White Chapel Blvd. entrance.)
Participants will stomp wildflower seeds into a newly-named wildflower area, the Blossom Prairie Wildflower Meadows, that surrounds the log house.
In the late 1800s, settlers heading west by wagon train along FM1709 would have stopped for the night at a campsite known as Blossom Prairie for the night. The nearest lookout point (Indians still populated the area) was a high point called Bunker Hill, where the Southlake Log House sits today.
The stomp event is free and open to the public.
